Its a gloomy Sunday afternoon and I just wrapped up a flight session at St. Andrews airport… sorta. I had a plane booked to practise recoveries from spins and spirals but the weather was far from ideal and visibility was very poor. This weather wasn’t exactly what Victoria and I had in mind for our shoot either.
We wanted to make use of some “golden hour” lighting in her house to create a high contrasty type vibe for one of the looks. But we didn’t exactly get the type of lighting we were hoping for.
Sometimes things just don’t work out the way you hope they would but you learn to make do with what you have, improvise and most importantly, have fun with it. The fact that I usually don’t do a lot planning and “wing” my shoots doesn’t hurt either (don’t tell anyone that).
Once I saw the way Victoria’s bedroom was decorated and the way the window was situated, the creative vibes immediately started flowing and we bounced some ideas off each other for the first look and decided on the pink hat and pink shirt. I put a playlist on and we got to shooting. This is what we came up with.
